Flush That Fat... Where?

I know it has been awhile since I posted but to be honest I haven't doing that well. I have been stuck for about 2 months... until this week. A gym buddy of mine told me about an exceptional eating plan called the Fat Flush Plan. I have added my own modifications but I am loving it. I started this past Saturday and today which is Thursday, I have lost 7lbs, which is prob. alot of water weight but still I am out of my rut. And a quick update, I have ran 2 more 5ks, this is the last one until maybe the fall, I'll post about that later.

Starting weight: 300lbs

Current weight: 237lbs

Current weightloss: 63lbs

Goal weight: 150lbs

Weight to lose: 87lbs

Gracie has become such the ball player. She absolutely loves to play. She has got so good at hitting the ball. Tonight she hit the ball all the way to the fence and got a triple. I am so happy that she loves softball because I LOVE softball too. She may even be playing fall ball. I hope that she stays in softball because it is one sport that I will enjoy watching her play!! Goooooo Lady Bubbles!

Happy Mothers Day!

Around our house Mother's Day started on Saturday. Me, Gracie, and Amber went to the Mother's/Daughter Banquet at our church. It was a very sweet, emotional service. Gracie sung a song to the mothers, Amber wrote/read a poem, and The Tolleson Trio (Me, Momma, & Lindsey) sung "Handfull of Weeds". We all dedicated our Moms for all they do for us. The next morning Preacher Rob invited The Tolleson Trio to sing again for the Mother's Day service. The kids performed a song to the mothers and Amber was ask to read her poem again. It was a beautiful service and I thank God for such a great mother. Afterwards, we attempted to eat at Fatz but it was so crowded we ended up at the Jade House to eat. After getting our bellies full we headed over to Grandma Dots house for some more family time. I love my family and all the awesome Moms in it. I am so happy and a little sad today because my baby Gracie is turning 6 years old. It just seems like yesterday, the nurse was handing me a little bundle of joy w/ black hair and blue eyes. She had so much hair and such a chubby little girl. It was pure love at first site. I knew at that very moment that my life would never be the same. Gracie is growing up to be such a beautiful, sweet, and kind-hearted little girl. She is so smart and loves to talk just like her momma. She is full of life and loves to get down dirty in it. I hope to see my sweet girl have many, many, many more birthdays to come. I love you Gracie and thank you for being my baby girl. Happy 6th Birthday Belle Belle!

The Tinsley family started our Resurrection Sunday at Stone Station Baptist Churchs 7am SonRise Service. It was a wonderful service. Preacher Rob continued in scripture about the resurrection of our Saviour Jesus Christ. God's beauty was all around with the sun rising, birds chirping, and all the beautiful green grass. I am so glad that I was apart of this service. We then headed to the fellowship building for a big hearty breakfast. After getting our bellys full we headed to the sanituary for praise and worship, then sunday school, and morning service. Everything was so Jesus-filled and we were so happy to be there. Austin our oldest son accepted Jesus into his heart this morning and we were thrilled to welcome the newest member of the family of God. Today we celebrated with friends and family Gracie's 6th birthday. Gracie's party was held at the Swim Center. There was about 40 people that came to the party including kids and adults. My friend Krissy was the only brave adult to swim but claimed she had a great time. Even though it was hot and sticky during the party, everything went great and Gracie had a wonderful time. Stone Station Baptist Church held a Hawiian Luau this evening to rasie money for the benevolence fund. It was a small crowd but we had bunches of fun. Started off with a delicious meal provided by the women of the church and of course yummy dessert. Then it was handed over to preacher Rob and the evening entertainment. Their was a little singing, magic trick, some hula dancing, followed by some hula hooping, and surely not to forget the hula relay. And I am happy to admit that our team won 2 or the 3 times played. We finished off the night with some pictures. Here are some pictures of my family at the event and some of the activities... ENJOY!!

Let's Play Ball

Today was Jamboree day at the ballfield. This is the day that all the teams in the league play a "scrimmage" type game to start the season off. The player get to wear their ball uniforms for the first time other than pictures and scope out the the competition. Well our day started at 10am, we came early to watch my nephew Tanner play his first game. He plays for the Wildcats in the tee-ball league. These are early learners so they don't really concentrate on points or outs but they are so cute learning. Here is a picture of Tanner hitting the ball.

Next we watched Gracie's softball team the Lady Bubbles take on the Razzle Dazzles @ 11am and then they played the Diamond Divas @ 1pm. Gracie's team is a little older so they do attempt some outs and runs are counted. Gracie did pretty good for first long day of softball. The first game she got 3 hits, was tagged out at first twice, made it home once, and knocked 3 runs in. In fielding she stopped one ball and returned that ball immediately to the "circle girl". Second game she struck out twice and scored once. Knocking in one run. Here are a few pictures of her softball debut. Enjoy!!

Nothing Like Swimming In March

Me and Lindsey took all the kids (Austin, Amber, Taylor, JC, Gracie, Carson, and Brayden) to the our local swim center. The kids had a ball and I am not going to lie.... I did too. I got in the water with Brayden for a little while and he was so dang funny. He keep me chasing after this ball and would make the funniest faces when he got splashed with water. After a little while he got tired so Lindsey pulled him out and then all the other kids started attacking me. One time Carson found a crate of swimming flippers that were being used by the swimming class. Well he decided to put them on and go for a swim himself. Just as he was heading to the pool, here comes the lifeguard but before he could say something to him Lindsey tells him to take them off. He was so embarrassed but me and Lindsey could not help but laugh at his crazy self. The kids are looking forward to going back and esp. Gracie since she is having her 6th birthday party there in about 2 weeks. Two thumbs up for good, cheap swimming thrills. Gracie had her very first softball practice today and boy was it windy. I was a little nervous for Gracie as she took the field for the first time. Lets just say she isn't the most graceful child on the planet. The picture above describes Gracie's playing the field. She didn't get much hit to her but she did stop a couple that was tossed to her... one time her foot even done the trick. But I must say I was really impressed when it was her turn to hit the ball. I am ashamed to say that I do not get out and play softball with her but she proved to pick up hitting very quickly. I'm not saying she is all-star material just yet but I am not saying bench warming either. I guess we will have to see as the season goes on. Enjoy her fun pics.

Eat Your Chili And Don't Get Cocky!

This evening Stone Station Baptist Church sponsored a chili cook-off to benefit my sister and her 3 boys. There ended up being 12 entries of chili, which makes for alot of ground beef, beans, chili powder, and gas. The turn out was great as well, we counted over 100 people in attendance. Their was 4 "suburb" judges, which included Jodie, Shirley, Daryl, and Boy. Believe it or not my hubby Jeff came in 1st place, followed by my mother, and 3rd was Kathy. After all the judging, presenting awards, and chowing we were in for a big special guest.......... COCKY (SC Gamecock Mascot). Preacher Rob set the scene by playing 2001 Space Odyessey and in came the big bird. It was awesome!!! Everyone had a blast meeting and taking pictures with Cocky. Gracie got a little scared at first but then she wouldn't leave the feather friend alone. After hanging out for a while, we where privileged to meet the young man behind the famous Cocky and he was just as awesome as the mascot himself. He takes his experience as being Cocky and turns it into his own ministry. My husband being a huge Clemson fan, now has major respect for Cocky and the other administors at USC that made this wonderful visit possible. Please enjoy some of the fun pics from the evening.

This morning we went to Stone Station Baptist Church to celebrate my nephew Brayden Alexander Williams 1st Birthday party. It was kind of an early party but super fun. We started out with a birthday cake walk game and the kids won great prizes. We than sang happy birthday to Brayden and he just looked around wondering what the heck we was doing. After eating some cake and ice cream we watched Lindsey open ALL of his many gifts. He got alot of summer clothes and a couple toys. He is such a good baby and growing up so fast. We love Brayden!!

Today the kids and I attended a swim party at the YMCA for my friends son Noah. This was the first party that I have ever been to that was swimming (well indoors that is). It was alot of fun. The kids swam for about an hour and then went to the party room for another 30 mins. Swimming was good.... Cake was good... Ice Cream was good... and he got alot of nice things. The "Tunnel" of Love - I Think NOT!!

My day started about 6am this morning. Me and Gracie got up and out the door. Since Gracie was on a 2 hour delay at school, she ended up going to my MRI appointment with me. As we pull up to the parking lot leading to the Bearden-Josey center, I was quickly saddened because right beside BJC is the Onocology Inpatient where Jason spent alot time from June 2009- October 2009. It felt like I was going there to visit him, I would walk into his sometimes huge and other times utility size room. He would be there laying in his bed, on the phone, playing x-box, or watching TV. He would always greet everyone with a big hey and smile. I also pictured him walking along the sidewalk tagging along his IV pole. It took me a few minutes to get out of the van because I was so torn up. We finally jump out of the van and head into BJC and NOone was there. Lucky for us the first person came in around 7ish. Signed some consents and I was off to have my brain test. Got back to "the tunnel" and my stomach started balling up. The lady got me all strapped up and sent me through "the tunnel". I was a nervous wreck and so glad when it was over. They told me that the doctor would look at the images and if anything emergency like, they would contact me. I did not hear anything from anyone, so no news is good news. I called the Neurologiest and set up my follow-up for next Thursday @ 3:45pm. This is when she will tell me the findings of the MRI or MRP (as Gracie would call it). Please pray for me because whatever the results of these tests, their will some permenant changes in my life. Thanks for all the prays this far.

Yesterday about 3:30pm we look outside to our surprise we see little bitsy snowflakes falling. I go run all my errands and then back home to enjoy this white stuff. After going to bed we wake up to the ground covered in white stuff with a layer of ice above it. Here are some pictures I was able to take before deciding it was too cold to be out in it. ENJOY!!

Today was full of appointments, first the eye doctor appointment and then on the Neurologist at 1pm. Jeff and I got there a little early so we napped in the van for about 45mins. Once in it was paperwork, paperwork and more paperwork. The finally took me back and I got super depressed when I stepped on the scales... where's my gun? Finally in the room to lap for another 20 mins before the doctor came in. When she finally got in there we talked about my headaches and swollen optical nerve. She done all the little nerves test, hitting me, scratching me, and playing with my toes. She then looked into my eyes and indeed found that my optical nerve was swollen. She then said that I would need an MRI (which is scheduled at Bearden-Josey Center for Breast Health on Monday @ 7:30am). I would also need some blood work and spinal tap to determine if I have Pseudotumor or someother source of the swelling (brain tumor, swollen arteries, etc). After I get all my test done I will have a follow up appointment, approx 2 weeks. I called today and got pre-registered for my MRI and now getting a little scared to get in the tunnel. I have no one going with me so I can't take anything for my nerves. We will see how it goes. Well I will update my blog when I get some more info on my possible pseudo whatchamacallit.

Celebration of Life

Today we celebrated the life of Jason Christopher Williams.
Family received friends Saturday 5-8 at Dunbar Funeral Home and the Celebration of life service was Sunday at 2:30 at Dunbar Chapel, followed by graveside burial at Heritage Memorial Gardens. Jason was loved by so many and touched so many lifes in his short life. He will be missed but we all can not wait to get to heaven where we can laugh again with our dear Jason. Viva Las Vegas

My best friend and I, along with 4 other crazy women decided to take a girls long weekend to Las Vegas, Nevada. We left on Wednesday AM and came back Sunday AM. We had so much fun and brought home alot of memories of laughter and for some sadness (my brother Jason died while I was in Vegas). Goodbye For Now, Jason Christopher Williams (May 20, 1984 - January 20, 2010)

Jason went to be with the Lord January 20, 2010!! He was legally termed as my brother-in-law but in actuality he was my brother. My heart hurts and all I can think about is the last little "love you" that I got from Jason the Thursday before he died. Jason was such a fighter but his body was just sooo worn out from all the fighting. Jason was 100% Leukemia free... it was not the cancer that took him from us but graph vs. host diease. Please continue to pray for Lindsey, Kathy, and Ashlee as the reality is starting to sink in that we will not see Jason again until we get to heaven.

Your Getting On My Swollen Nerves

Jeff and I went to the eye doctor today for annual routine exam. They go thru all the normal test and exam like usual. But as I was about the leave and get my contacts the doctor tells that I have a papilledema behind my eyes and the optic nerve is swollen. He stated that I could possibly have a Pseudotumor cerebri((SOO-doh-too-mur SER-uh-bry)it occurs when the pressure inside your skull (intracranial pressure) increases for no obvious reason. When no underlying cause for the increased intracranial pressure can be discovered, pseudotumor cerebri may also be called idiopathic intracranial hypertension. The increased intracranial pressure associated with pseudotumor cerebri can cause swelling of the optic nerve and result in vision loss. Medications often can reduce this pressure, but in some cases, surgery is necessary. ). He referred me to a neurologist to verify what he believes and/or rule out any other brain tumor activity which will prob. involve an MRI and/or spinal tap. My appointment is set for Jan. 26, 2010. I told everyone that they are getting on my nerves and see what happens?!?!? Once I visit with the Neurologist I will update. Thanks for your thoughts, prayers, and good vibes.

Shopping For Vegas Gear

My friend Krissy and I went shopping for me a dress to wear one night while in Vegas and both of us a thicker jacket. I finally got me a black dress at the Dress Barn, a sweater/shawl thing at Belks, and a thicker jacket at Wal-mart(prob. taking this one back). Wal-mart was having some good clearances so I picked up like 3 tops and another dress. I also bought all the 1-3oz bottles for the flight. Looks like I am just about ready to go... 11 more days!!!! Here are pictures of us at Fatz during dinner. Yes, Gracie went with us and she did really well (only wined twice) and helped us shop.

Day At The Doggie Spa

Crazy Airline Travel

As some of know I will be taking a ladies trip to Vegas in 2 weeks. Since I have not been on an airplane since like 1998, I thought I would educate myself to the new guildlines. It is cRaZy!!! We have decided to not check in any luggage to save $25 per trip. We will take 1 carry-on and 1 personal item. Some of this stuff from the TSA is cRaZy!!!!!

3-1-1 for carry-ons = 3.4 ounce (100ml) bottle or less (by volume) ; 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin. One-quart bag per person limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring. 3.4 ounce (100ml) container size is a security measure.
Shoes. Travelers are required to remove their shoes before entering the walk-through metal detector at all U.S. airports and put them through the x-ray machine for inspection. This allows officers to see if the shoes have been tampered with in any way.
Think before you speak. Belligerent behavior, inappropriate jokes and threats will not be tolerated. They will result in delays and possibly missing your flight. Local law enforcement may be called as necessary.

What I have decided to do is bring all my stuff over to Krissy's house the night before and let her help me pack, so I don't hold up security or have to see something of mine thrown away. We will see how all goes.

P.S. I wanted to thank my brother Daryl and his wife Ashlee for keeping Gracie for me during this trip. They seem excited and Gracie very excited about spending time with Tanner and Tucker. She ask me today if she could hold Tucker (she'll have to take that up w/ Ashlee)

In My Mind

I really don’t know what goes on in my mind, something buried deep within. Why can’t I be conventional? I am a counterfeit, sham, and a phony. My smile is only an external commodity of my body. I go around like everything is passable but I am dying inside. I glare keen on to the future with no anticipate. I am ruling it harder and harder everyday just to get off the sofa which as develop into my safe haven. I wish that getting ready and leaving the house didn’t feel as such a chore. I feel a heave from the one that created me but why is it that I fall short to submit. I failed in everything that I have chased after. I know the ones reading this may think self-pity and maybe they are half right but I am indeed stuck in my own mind.

I'm Back & I'm Mad

I know that I have not blogged in a while because frankly I haven't much felt like it. Tonight, my mind has been racing with mixed emotions and felt the only way to get it all out is to write about it for others to discuss.

Their are some people in this world that have to feel justified and do things to receive acknowledgement. They require acknowledgement for every deed they commit to feel more of a human. If they don't receive this acknowledgement they tear down others to make themselves look greater. Most people (I hope) would do nice things for others to receive the joy in their own heart to see another happy. But these selfish people do it to make themselves look good and for others to see what they have done.

My sister is an example of an unselfish person. For 6 months, she has put her life on hold to be by her husbands side. She has not boast nor made a big deal about all the sacrifices she has endure. She loves her husband and even when she is not with him in her heart she is with him. I have never seen my sister so strong and I love her very much. My sister took a much needed time away from the hospital to clear her head and spend "MUCHO" time with her young children. It was Christmas time and her oldest son is out of school. Their are others in the picture that have decided to try and tear my sister down for this. These people are very heartless and have expressed their opinion very openly. They say what they would do in this situation but until you have walked in the shoes of my sister they need to keep their "opinions" to themselves. I know Lindsey tries to hide what these comments have done to her but I know that they have hurt her deeply. One cowardly person has went so far to say that Lindsey is self-righteous and does not care about her husband. Anyone that knows Lindsey, knows that to be false.

The person/people that I am talking about will possibly read this and know that I am talking to you when I say that I am very upset about this whole ordeal. I know where all this mess stems from and it is the same people/person that has cause sooooo many problems in the past. Your day is coming and I do hope the Lord has mercy on you for you have not had mercy on those you hurt. You are evil, manipulative, deceiver and a sheep in wolves clothing. I don't really care what you have to say about me but I do care how you hurt my baby sister. Shut your pie whole and leave my sister because I can only take so much before I burst and believe me it will not be pretty.

For Christmas I purchased Jeff 6 tickets to the Music Bowl in Nashville, TN to watch Clemson vs. Kentucky. I thought it was a great idea but boy maybe I was wrong. First all it took us 7 hours to get there due to parts of I-40 detoured. When we got there we went looking for something to eat, maybe a mall where the kids could pick there own food and that didn't pan out so we ended up eating Subway (not too bad). We drove around Nashville looking at the sites and taking pictures but it didn't really know what to do before the game so went to find us some parking. Well not knowing what we was doing we ended up parking on the wrong side of the stadium with all the Kentucky peeps (wasn't too bad for me since I am a SEC fan).

We got out to find out what everyone was going to wear but it was too cold so we all piled back into the van to wait, wait, and wait some more. Finally everyone had to go to the bathroom we got only to run into the parade of Kentucky football players coming in. Jeff was so mad that he didn't get to see Clemson players do this. We get to the gate finally, only to find out my blanket bag was too big to enter... urgh. We finally walked alway around the stadium and up 9 long ramps to our seats in the sky. It was sooooooooooooooooooooooooo cold. The game was pretty boring and in the second half their was snow flurries. We were all cold, bored, and frustrated so we decided to leave in the 4th quarter. It was an extremely cold walk to the van but the heat from that van was soooooooooooooooo worth it. Everyone was so cold, hungry and sleepy we just decided to go through McDonalds drive-thru. We was back on the road headed home, we finally pulled in our drive-way at 7am and everyone headed to bed. Gonna rethink them late year games!!!

Wednesday, December 23, 2009 - This year Christmas started when my wonderful grandma Phyllis, aunt Jodie, and uncle Jimmy came for a good ole Spartanburg visit from Tennessee. We always have a great time when they visit. My sister was lucky enough to be home from Charleston (her husband Jason is hospitialized in Charleston) with her kids and my brother and his family came as well. Jodie brought some yummy mexican stuffed shells and mom made salad and bread. You know us we ate, ate, and ate some more. After that the kids were begging to open gifts so we obliged. They received super fun gifts from Tennessee including a Barbie, Disney Princess game w/figurines, and reviserable jacket (from uncle Daryl-received a little early). All was happy and all was sad when they had to hit the road back up north!!!

Thursday, December 24, 2009 - Christmas Eve came along and we really did not have any plans other than clean house and do some laundry. Oh yeah we did bake Santa some yummy sugar and macadamia nut cookies.

Friday, December 25, 2009 - Christmas Day!! We woke up about 6am and the kids starting stirring shortly after. Santa was very good to all the kids this year. Gracie got a karoke machine, pink guitar, a couple Barbies, baby doll, books, Spongebob pj's, SB earrings, and bunches of more. Taylor got a big giftcard to Wal-mart, fleece jacket, Bible, and other great stuff. Austin got a big giftcard to Rue21, 2 shirts, Bible, and other great stuff. Amber got a big giftcard to Rue21, 4 books, Bible, and other great stuff. All the kids got a family computer and everyone loves it. Jeff got a devotional book, 2 shirts, TV, and 6 tickets to see Clemson Tigers @ the Music Bowl in Nashville, TN (see future post). I got black pearls, mini-travel case, and a trip to Las Vegas in January w/ my best friend Krissy (see future post). So can I say again Santa was real good this year to our family. After opening our "Santa" we headed over to my grandma Dots house for Christmas breakfast with all the Tolleson family. Later on that evening we over to my mom and dads house for more food, family, and gifts. Again the kids were eager to open gifts and received fun fun gifts. Gracie got a leapfrog text messenger learner thingy, more jamas, and lip gloss from Grandma and Papa Tolleson. She also got another jacket from the Williams family. Christmas was GoOd!!!!

Saturday, December 26, 2009 - We got super early and headed to Jeff's mom's home in Columbia, SC. She had a very yummy traditional Christmas dinner prepared for us and we again pigged out. She was wonderful to us and the kids this year with money. We came back to town only to head to Gaffney for the kids to spend their Christmas money. Amber and Austin bought clothes from Rue21, Gracie bought 2 Webkinzs, and Taylor bought Guitar hero.

As I have stated in previous post, my brother-in-law Jason is currently living in Charleston, SC. There he is on a long road to recovery after a bone marrow transplant. My sister is also living there with him during this time. There boys, JC, Carson, and Brayden, are currently living with my parents in Spartanburg, SC. These has been a very rough time for them but they are very strong and know one day these will back to normal. I have collected pictures from my visits to Charleston to see Jason and Lindsey. "NoN" Traditional Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving was very different from past Thanksgiving.

I spent Thanksgiving in Charleston w/ my sister, Jason, Mom, Dad, Gracie, and the boys. As most my readers know that Jason and Lindsey are currently living in Charleston, SC why Jason is recovering from a bone marrow transplant. Jeff had to work on Thanksgiving, so Gracie and I decided to head to the beach (ok it sounded good). We got a little hungry on the way so we stopped in the McDonalds drive-thru... sounds like a yummy meal..huh?? I got there to find out that Gracie had stepped on my Cheesecake and my sausage balls were flat... but both tasted super yummy. It was a little different Thanksgiving but I was with half of my family and we made it work... here are some pictures from our Thanksgiving weekend in Charleston.

Oh yeah I failed to mention we watched the Gamecocks/Clemson game while there and very proud to say Gamecocks rocked the Tigers this year.... heck ya!!!!!!

Rocking Halloween

For Halloween this year Gracie wanted to be a punk rocker or what I say is rock star. So we tackied up the makeup, pony-mohawked the pink & green hair, putting on the rocker clothes, and finished it off with some much need accessories (hand stockings and guitar-too bad it had a flat). We took Gracie, Taylor, and Austin to Stone Station Baptist Church Fall Festival. The weather was not that great... the rain did hold out for outdoor games... thank goodness the candy can flow. We went indoors after that for hotdogs and beans. They had a costume contest, where Gracie won 2nd place in her age group. I must brag that my cute dog nephew won 1st. Preacher Rob sang alittle for us and of course the cake walk. The rain held out long enough for trunk or treat. We didn't decorate ours because we wasn't really sure if the rain would allow us even have a trunk or treat. Others decorated theirs and their was some awesome trunks.

I LOVE the TV reality show So You Think You Can Dance. So there was no hesitation when my bff called me and told me she had 2 tickets to see them live in Charlotte, NC. I was like.... heck yea!!!!! So Krissy and I headed to Charlotte to see our favorites. We had soooo much fun. We just loved them all. Carowinds - Rain or Shine

My best friend Krissy and I decided to take Gracie and her neice Kaleigh to Carowinds. Now we didn't mean to select a slighty cool day nor did we wish for the rain but we had a great time. The great thing about going when it is drizzeling, cool, and off season is...............NO LINES!!!! While we were there they had this fall festival thing going on for smaller kids and it was sort of fun... I guess. The girls seem to love the foam pit but would not dare karoke. After a kind of short day at Carowinds, we picked up Pizza and headed to Krissys house for a little slumber party. We were all sooo exhausted!!! The next day the girls enjoyed playing "everything" with Krissys hubby Walter until he had to go to work. It was sad to leave especially after Krissy cooked "the best ever" spagetti. Big Girls Have Big Ears

Gracie doesn't really have "big" ears but she is going up, so I decided to grant her wish and let her get her "big" ears pierced. I told her that she had to go 1 whole week without any problems at school. It took a couple of weeks but she finally did it. I picked up Friday after I got off of work and took her Piercing Pagada in the mall. She picked out the ones she wanted and signed the paper. I told her she had to be a big girl and let the woman finish both ears before freaking out. Guess what... she didnt freak nor did she cry. She is such a big girl with "big" ears now.

Today was dance recital day. The dance recital didn't start until 6pm but we of course had to be there at 5pm. I got there at 5pm and reserved almost a whole row for Gracie's supporters(me, daddy, carli, daryl, ashlee, tanner, tucker, jc, carson, papa and grandma tolleson). Gracie was in the preschool combo II class, which included ballet and tap. Her class danced 2 numbers in the recital. The first was a tap dance to Aladdins "Never Had A Friend Like Me". The second was the ballet dance to Beauty and the Beast "Beauty and The Beast". I thought Gracie done a great job and was very entertaining. After the recital, Gracie received a 1 year trophy. Mother's Day weekend started on May 9th for us. My grandma Phyllis and aunt Jodie from Tennessee came down the mother-daughter banquet at my moms church, Stone Station Baptist Church. It was a very nice service with a great God fearing speaker, Debbie Sobeski from Hannah Hope Ministries. Afterwards, the men of the church served us with a delicious hot lunch.

After leaving the church we headed over to my brother Daryl and sis-in-law Ashlee's home to see their newest addition Tucker Bryce. Here are some pictures that we took at Daryl and Ashlee's.

I am sitting here at the hospital awaiting the birth of my newest nephew Tucker Brice. My brother Daryl and his wife Ashlee got here at the hospital last night and was told that she was diluated to a 4 and then came back in and said she was at 5. When the doctor came in this morning he said that she was only at a 2. She is currently at 3 and is miserable. I am sitting here in the cafe with my Mom, Dad, big brother Tanner, and Ashlees Mom, Kathy. Please pray for our family during this stressful but exciting time. I will keep you posted until baby Tucker is here.

I went to see my very athletic nephew play coaches pitch baseball today. The dugout mom padded him up to play catcher. He was so funny behind the batter, he would not get up to get the ball and when he did he was so slow, he had everyone laughing. Here is a picture of him catching:

After a couple time playing catcher they put him in left field where again, he did not run after the ball but he was so darn cute... who cared???? Here is a picture of him in left field.

And of course here is picture of him busting the ball. He hit the ball everytime I got up to bat. He never got out and always made it home. He is a great hitter, just needs to work on fielding. He is such a comedian and we love him.

Today Jeff and I had a full day of marriage 911. Greg Boone from Look Up Lodge came to our church to speak about Love, Sex, and dating for marriage. He was an awesome speaker and never thought I would hear some of the things that I did in church, it was alot to take. The conference let out around 3:30pm and I was off to my sis-in-laws baby shower. I was there a little late but it looked like she had a great turn out. I should mention that the food was really good, I really pigged out. We bought baby Tucker some diapers and wipes. I also got him a bag that will have his name on it but he hasn't got it yet. After that Jeff took me to Shoguns to eat for my birthday, which is this Monday. The food and atmophere was great. Sorry I do not have any pictures from our day, camera was there but just didn't think about it.. sorry.

Spring Cleaning.... IN and OUT

Jeff and I woke Friday morning with a cleaning, yardwork, organizing bug. Jeff went to Lowes and got bunches of plants and we ordered a load mulch and the yardwork began. We worked so hard that it continued into Saturday. Jeff worked more on the yard and I worked on the house. I opened windows and let the cool breeze naturally freshen the home. Here are some pictures of our hardwork.

After all the hard work, we invited Kevin (Ambers little boyfriend), Sara, Summer(cousins), and Bud over for a cookout with our new grill We celebrated our day of SPRING cleaning and Summer and Bud that are getting married tomorrow. We had pork chops and roasted marshmellows by the bonfire. We had a GREAT time!!!!

The Judge Says 3 more Months

As most of you know, Jeff and I currently have custody of my 3 cousins Austin, Vicki, and Kaylee through DSS. We went to court today and the judge says that we will have them another 3 months and then will be back into court for another review. It has been more than crazy in our household. We currently have a total of 7 kids; 3 fulltimers, 1 fulltime with every other weekend off, and 3 parttimers that come on weekends. So we never know on the weekends how many kids we will have. Today we celebrated the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Our church did not have a sonrise service but we went to church at 10:30am. The service was good, the creative worship team put on a skit that was truly a blessing. The message was about believing and faith. After church we went to my parents house for a cookout and birthday party for Carson (4)and Gracie (5). After eating the kids rode around the driveway on their bikes and scooters. Daddy and Daryl hooked the trailer up to the lawn mower and rode the kids around the yard. The kids looked like they had a great time.

After that we opened up birthday presents. With 2 kids opening up gifts there was wrapping paper everywhere. Gracie got a babydoll from Daryl and Ashlee, a car from Tanner, clothes from the Williams family, clothes from Aunt Jodie, Polly Pocket from Nana Root Root, and a art set from Grandma Tammy. After opening gifts we lit up the colorful, girly lookin cake and the kids made a birthday wish. Mom had the kids dye their Easter eggs their favorite colors. After that we hid easter eggs and let the kids search for them. It was sooooo funny watching them looking for eggs. Carson stepped on one cracking it. We had a very good time with the kids and laughing at each other. I love being around my family.

Today has been a real fun day for our cheezzzzy crew. I started out this morning by going yard selling. I hit 2 yard sales and bought $4 worth of stuff and headed home (wasn't feeling it). I then loaded up the van with Sara, Austin, Vicki, and Kaylee and headed to Stone Station Baptist Church Easter Festival. When we got there Gracie, JC, Carson, Brayden, Lindsey, Jason, Momma, Daryl, Tanner, Becky, Boy, and their crew was there. They had bouncies, snow cone machine, hot dogs, popcorn, Bingo, and of course an easter egg hunt. The kids went wild but had a great time. After that we went shopping for about an hour and then it was off to another Easter Festival at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Daryl, Ashlee, Tanner, Lindsey, Jason, JC, Carson, and Brayden was there. They had donuts, cupcakes, brownies, sack race, egg toss, egg relay, and big egg hunt. Gracie won the egg relay in her age group. Austin found one of the prize eggs. It was sooooo funny during the egg hunt, Lindsey and I could not find Carson (4 year) with his group. We looked way in the field and he was finding eggs with the 9-12 year olds. It was soooo funny, he thought he was soooo big. Dinner,Shopping & Cheezzzy Movie

Thought I would try to keep up with my blog this time since my Mom started her one up, have to keep up. Today was an ok day, I slept about all day. I am taking this medication that makes me very drowsy, still trying to get use to it. When I got up Me, Jeff and Gracie went to eat at Tall Tales. My chicken stew was pretty good but my sandwich was not very tasty. Gracie did not touch a bite of her food, she talked about everything the whole time. We left there and took Gracie to my sister house to spend the night with her boys. Gracie loves Lindseys house, I believe she would live there if I would let her. After dropping her off we were ready to start our date night.. lol. What do married people do when they don't have their kids, they shop for them. We went to Wal-mart to pick up stuff to make their easter baskets for Resurrection Day. We don't do easter bunny but I thought it would be nice to have a little basket of goodies for Sunday. We also ended up buying The Love Dare book from the movie Fireproof (which I highly recommend) and an outfit (pink and white) for Gracie. Oh yeah we met up with my bff Krissy and helped her pick out a birthday gift for Gracie as well. She bought her two very cute outfits (pink and white). After almost drowning from the monsoon of a rainstorm we had tonight, we swam to our van.

We went to the movies to watch The Last House on The Left, my very first scary movie watched at the theater. The movie was kind of stupid, I don't recommend it to anyone. All and all we had a pretty good night.

My baby turned 5 years old today. WoW the time has flown by!! Today after school, Gracie and I met up with Lindsey, Jason, JC, Carson, Brayden, and mom at McDonalds for a birthday lunch. The kids enjoyed the indoor playland and of course the chicken mcnuggets. I took Gracie to Toys R Us to pick out her birthday gift from me and Jeff and from granny Joyce. Gracie ended up getting a big girl bike from us and a baby doll, baseball, and bat from granny Joyce. She also got a stroller for her baby dolls. We went over to moms house where she cooked some good food that Lindsey and I swore smelled like spagetti. We also had some cupcakes that I picked up for all the kids. We are having her "real" birthday party this Sunday with her cousin Carson at gma Tammys house.

Yes... Spring Break.. what does this mean?? It means the teachers get a break and the parents have to entertain for a whole week. So what does a cheezzzy spring break look like? Here goes:

Sat March 28th - hmmm nothing.. Austin and Vicki went to grandma Dots house. Gracie and I went with my bestest friend Krissy to visit and eat with her mom and neice Kaleigh. After that we went up to the hospital to meet Krissy newest neice, Emma-Leigh. She is sooo cute.

Sun March 29th - Nothing

Mon March 30th - Went to court and got custody of my cousin Kaylee. We then went to my parents house to pick up the rest of the kids. Then it was off to grandma Dots house for a visit.

Tues March 31th - Austin, Vicki, and Gracie went to grandma Dots house. Me, Jeff, and Kaylee went out to eat at The Outback Steakhouse which was wonderful.. yummy..hmmmm

Wed April 1st - Today we decided to take the kids to have some real fun, sooooo me, Jeff, Sara, Austin, Vicki, Gracie, and Kaylee went to Mr. Gattis for lunch. We pigged out at the buffet, played for a while and pigged out again before we left. (see smilebox for pics)

Thur. April 2nd - Nothing... We were going to take the kids to the swim center but Vicki didn't have a bathing suit that fit good and I really didn't feel like it so I told the kids I would buy them a special gift in exchange for NOT going to the swimcenter, IT WORKED!! Austin got a new baseball bat, Vicki got a baby doll, and Gracie got a babydoll stroller.

Fri. April 3rd - We went to Columbia, SC to see Jeff's mom Joyce. Her and her husband Gary cooked out Ribeyes which were awesome. The kids enjoyed looking through all of their sea shells that they acculmated while living at the beach. We had a great time! (see smilebox for pics)

Sat April 4th- Austin and Vicki went to grandma Dots house, Gracie went to her dad's house. Now you think since I don't have any kids.. I seat back and relax... Noooo I go to Colbys 4th Birthday Party at Lake Bowen park. Lindsey came over with the boys after the party and I made some spagetti. We had a real good time talking, laughing, and enjoying the kids. Carson and JC ended up spending the night with me for the very FIRST time. (see smilebox for pics)

Sun April 5th - I ended up spending almost the whole day at my parents house. Lindsey and I had a great time outside with the boys. JC loves the camera and the camera loves him. I started shooting pictures of him and he began posing so I took alot of pictures of him modeling. Me and Lindsey laughed all evening. (see smile for pics)

I am sitting here in deep thought and where is a better place to to express yourself than the world wide web. I look at my daughter, Gracie, and wonder where have the years gone. Gracie will be turning 5 in April. It seems like just yesterday I was getting her crib ready for her to meet the world. When she was born she had so much hair, even on her ears and a little on her back (don't worry the ear and back hair is gone). I remember when I planned her 1st Birthday party at Lake Bowen. It had to be the coldest, nastiest day in April, so we packed up and celebrated at Pizza Hut. I remember when she had to have a small outpatient surgery on her tongue. I was so worried and was wanting to hold her immediately, but she wanted her daddy over me (this was sad). I also remember when we played reverse roles, she was the mommy and I was her baby. All was fun until she got really upset that I would not let her drive my car one morning. I love hearing her say "I love you, Mommy" and when I am not feeling good she tells that she is going to take care of me. Today Gracie is running a high fever and not feeling well and I get to baby my big girl. Be sure to click the link above to see my sweet little angel.

Guess what, WE GOT SNOW!!

I captured a couple of pictures of the kids and animals out in the white stuff. I really enjoyed the winter wonderland but we did lose for almost 20 hours. No TV, internet, or phone is a little annoying but I do feel sorry for those that lost power. We are fortunate to not have lost power or had any damage to our house, cars, or property. I just wanted to announce that Brayden Alexander Williams is here. He is the 3rd son of my baby sister Lindsey. Lindsey was admitted into the hospital at 5:15pm on 2/23/09. She had the baby at 4:46am. Brayden weighted 9lbs. 6ozs and was 21inches long. We believe that he was the biggest baby born today. Enjoy the slideshow of pictures.

My Grandma Phyllis, Aunt Jodie, and Uncle Jimmy came down to visit us for Christmas from Tennessee. We had a family get together at Dary and Ashlee house. Fun times and great food.

Christmas Parade = Christmas Spirit

My little Gracie was a part of the Boiling Springs Christmas Parade with her dance group NXS. She had to meet her group at 9am and then I had to drive to the end of the parade route. We had a large group so show up to watch the BS Christmas Parade and Gracie. My mom, dad, Lindsey, Daryl, Ashlee, Amber, Austin, Taylor, JC, Carson, and Tanner. We were acting so goofy, I am highly surprised they didn't ask us to leave. We all had a blast and can't wait to go back next year.

The next day we watched the Chesnee Christmas Parade. We again had a big group. It was me, Lisa, Amber, Austin, Sara, Taylor, Austin, Vicki, and Lickey(the dog). The parade was OK, a little boring and a little redneck (hee hee). But we had a great time laughing and cutting up. Here are some pictures from both parades.... ENJOY!!

Employment = Negative Drug Test, Government Assistant = No Test At All

While sitting watching news last night I realized how crazy our system works and is set-up. For example (names are made up):

1st Scenerio:
Jeff goes to work, but before he can even obtain employment, he must pass a drug test. He pass the drug test and starts paying taxes into the government to help services such as welfare and unemployment. While he is still employed he is set up to random drug test, which he passes and he still pays taxes.

2nd Scenerio:
Lindsey goes to work, but before she can even obtain employment, she must pass a drug test. She passes the drug test and starts paying taxes into the government to help services such as welfare and unemployment. While she is still employed she is set up to a random drug test and she failes and loses her job.

3rd Scenerio:
Krissy is a drug user. She has had jobs but is unable to keep them. She goes into the unemployment office and gets unemployment checks (no drug test). She goes to the welfare office and gets a welfare check (no drug test). Since she isn't working, she pays nothing into either. She sits at home, does her drugs, and lives off the money that Jeff and Lindsey(before she got canned) pay into.

Now do you see where my concern lies. I believe the government should drug test recipents for these aides because the ones paying taxes to these services have to be drug tested and pass to keep their jobs. It is not fair that Jeff remains drug-free and with a job but Krissy can receive help from these services and doesn't have to be drug-free.

I was talking to my sister today about not really having anything to blog about, so I went to blogger dashboard and realized that I had 99 post. So I thought it was about time to blog my 100th post about 100 things about me and my family. So sit back and enjoy!

1. Jeff and I have been married almost 1 1/2 years
2. Jeff has 3 kids from his previous marriage (Amber 15, Austin 13, and Taylor 10)
3. I have 1 daughter from my previous marriage (Gracie 4)
4. Jeff and I prob. will never have any children together
5. We have 3 dogs Sasha 8, Lickey 1, and Sable 10
6. Sable is my dog that I left at my parents house and now she lives with me again
7. My parents house of 12 years burn down in June 2008 (reason Sable lives me again)
8. I have 1 brother Daryl and 1 sister Lindsey
9. I have 2 sister-in-laws, Ashlee(Daryls wife) and Deborah (Jeff's sister) and brother-in-law, Jason (Lindseys hubby)
10. I have 4 nephews; JC 5, Carson 3, Tanner 3, and Brayden(not here yet). Another nephew or niece on the way.

I was looking through my hundreds of pictures that gobble all my memory on my laptop and found this picture. This is "the kids bench" that all the kids love to sit on and watch TV in Brandmas room. I guess what makes the picture so special is that it was one of the items that was ashed away in my parents terrible house fire. The kids ask about the bench after the house was nothing my ashes.
